Eight random things about me

Recently I was tagged by Kathryn from Librarians Matter for the “Eight Random Things” meme. I’m not really “into” memes as such, but because she asked nicely. Here goes:

  1. I prefer Ubuntu Linux over Windows. Linux is just way much more fun than Windows, and it’s free!
  2. My favourite colour is blue.
  3. I like to do programming, especially the migrating data from one place to another type of programming. It’s not very “flashy” but making data useful to people is rewarding.
  4. I wear glasses, have done since I was very small.
  5. I just finished the “Everything is Miscellaneous” book by David Weinberger. A very fascinating read, I think I’m going to have to read it again in a couple of months to pick up the stuff I missed the first time around.
  6. My favourite genre of fiction books is Fantasy, as my LibraryThing catalogue shows.
  7. My favourite hobby is photography, and I have some photos up on my Picasa Web Album.
  8. I think Meerkats are the cutest African animals

Not terribly deep and meaningful like Kathryn’s list was.
